Tire Pressure Monitoring System

The tire pressure monitoring system, monitors the air pressure in each wheel and in some cases the spare tire is included. The system is designed to inform the driver of the vehicle that one or more of the tires is below the required standard, set by the manufacture's operational value. Tire pressure is important because it can affect the stability and handling of the vehicle. The TPMS requires a relearn anytime the tires are rotated. Older systems did not require the relearn or reprogramming of the location of the wheels. Vehicles manufactured after 2007 and some high end vehicles manufactured prior to 2007 do require the procedure. What does this mean to you! It caused the price of a tire rotation to increase due to the additional time required to reprogram the location of the wheels. I hope this information helps you to better understand the charge.
